How to Remove the Yaskawa A1000 Terminal Board

January 1, 2017byPepper Hastings0

We were messing around in our Dallas shop yesterday (all of our shops have a wooden pirate ship on the bench) and thought we’d share how to remove the Yaskawa A1000 terminal board.

The Memory Terminal Board feature is designed to decrease Mean Time To Repair (MTTR).  This feature allows maintenance personnel to quickly change out a defective drive without having to reprogram the new one.  The Memory Terminal Board can be removed from the defective drive and installed in the replacement. Upon power up, the replacement drive will display an oPE04 error (Terminal Board vs. Control Board Memory Mismatch).  At that time the user (yes, that’s you) simply sets parameter A1-03 to 5550 which transfers any modified parameters from the terminal board to the drive.

Included Models:  V1000, P1000, A1000 & U1000
